Small Groups

RUF Small Group Studies, Fall '09

One of the best things we offer in RUF is a chance to meet in groups with 5-12ish other students and discuss biblical concepts, pray, laugh, and bear one another's burdens together.  In college you are afforded many opportunities for this kind of connection with others and they only get more difficult once you graduate.  We hope that you will consider joining one of our small group studies and experience the beauty of Christian community with all of the joys, challenges, frustrations (just being honest), and friendships it brings.

Here is the quick skinny on our small group studies with longer explanations on the Calendar soon:

Women's group and Men's group (sophomores and beyond)

"The Gospel Centered LIfe - taking the Gospel deeper in and further out" Mondays 8:15, Women led by Rachel Rogers -  and men led by Brad Rogers at their house - women upstairs, men downstairs with time to mingle at the beginning of the group.  Their address is 205 Lackawanna Rd., 40503 if you want to map it, but directions are also available on the directions tab.

Women's "Real Sex" book discussion - led by Katie Palm and Corrie Wojohn - Tuesdays 4:30 at Common Grounds Coffee House on high street (parking available there)

Co-ed (anyone)

How to study the bible - Tuesdays at 1pm, this will begin on Tuesday, Sept 8th.   Many people want to learn how to read, interpret, and apply the bible better, but as you may have found its not as easy it may at first seem.   This study will go through a book teaching you how to study the bible and will have actual exercises from the Bible to practice outside of the study to help you practice the concepts. Brad will lead this co-ed study for anyone who wants to “get the message” of the bible on their own more effectively.  Location is Student Center room 251
